Tumors & masses
Mass around the knee? Safe diagnosis first
Most masses are benign (lipomas, osteochondromas), but need precise diagnosis. I combine exam with imaging and, if necessary, biopsy to define the best plan.

Comprehensive evaluation
Imaging and biopsy when necessary, before any surgery.
Red flags
- • Mass growing fast or painful.
- • Skin changes (warmth/redness) or pressure sensation.
- • Stiffness or mechanical block from volume.
- • Cancer history or systemic symptoms (fever, weight loss).
In these cases, MRI/CT to define origin and relation to nearby structures.
Studies and treatment
- • Ultrasound or MRI to characterize the lesion.
- • Biopsy in suspicious masses before any surgery.
- • Careful surgery respecting planes and structures.
- • Coordination with ortho-oncology for complex/aggressive tumors.
Goal: exact diagnosis and safe plan, avoiding unnecessary resections or delays in aggressive lesions.
Book your evaluation
If you notice a mass around your knee, don’t ignore it. I’ll define its origin and whether observation, simple excision, or specialized care is needed.
