Tumors & masses

Mass around the knee? Safe diagnosis first

Most masses are benign (lipomas, osteochondromas), but need precise diagnosis. I combine exam with imaging and, if necessary, biopsy to define the best plan.

Knee mass evaluation

Comprehensive evaluation

Imaging and biopsy when necessary, before any surgery.

Red flags

  • • Mass growing fast or painful.
  • • Skin changes (warmth/redness) or pressure sensation.
  • • Stiffness or mechanical block from volume.
  • • Cancer history or systemic symptoms (fever, weight loss).

In these cases, MRI/CT to define origin and relation to nearby structures.

Studies and treatment

  • • Ultrasound or MRI to characterize the lesion.
  • • Biopsy in suspicious masses before any surgery.
  • • Careful surgery respecting planes and structures.
  • • Coordination with ortho-oncology for complex/aggressive tumors.

Goal: exact diagnosis and safe plan, avoiding unnecessary resections or delays in aggressive lesions.

Book your evaluation

If you notice a mass around your knee, don’t ignore it. I’ll define its origin and whether observation, simple excision, or specialized care is needed.
